GH Yeoh attended an interesting Eurachem Scientific Workshop on “Data – Quality, Analysis and Integrity” at Dublin Castle, Ireland on May 14-15, 2018. Some 100 participants from more than 20 countries attended the Workshop which covered quite a wide ranging topics from reviewing statistical techniques to ensuring data quality, e.g., by interanl QC, to multivariate analysis, to means in ensuring LIMS data integrity, and to make risk decision on conformity testing.
The Conference dinner on Monday May 14 was arranged at the renowned Guinness Brewery, the birthplace of the Student’s t-test statistic invented by its chemist cum statistician, William Gosset. William published his famous ideas in Biometrika in 1908 using a pseudonym “A. Student” because of his company’s policy on confidentiality.
